"...the only aristocracy is the aristocracy of passionate souls."
T. Williams

Gypsy boy he ain’t got a dime
Just an open road and an open mind
He’ll get there in his own sweet time.

Deadbeat aristocrat
Landlady gives him a dirty look
Says the rent’s two months behind
She knows he’s got leavin’on his mind.
Tennessee.

Tragic beauty that’s his stock and trade
Squeeze every drop out of this life
Writes it down in his own blood
Just so we can feel alive.
Tennessee.

Now he sits back in an easy chair
Old weary legs too weak to roam
Ain’t as easy as it used to be
That sweet bird of youth has flown.
Tennessee.
